Delivery Information
- Truckload quantities Full truckloads can be scheduled as needed
Horse trailer ~ 400 flats or hanging baskets
24' Box Trucks ~ 600 flats or hanging baskets
48' Semi Trailer ~ 1000 flats or hanging baskets
- Minimums: Subject to orders received
25 flats/hbs per delivery location. We may require more than 25 flats/hbs
minimum to equitably reach your delivery location. Our "rule-of-thumb"
for deliveries is "One flat/hb per mile (one-way)", to be shared with
other deliveries on your route.
- Delivery: Specific delivery times cannot be guaranteed, due
to the ever changing road conditions. We strive to provide a good delivery
service on the day of scheduled delivery. If you have a cell phone number
that you can be reached on, our driver can phone their anticipated delivery
time. Please provide us with a cell number for customer contact.
- Route Mileage: Based upon distance from Jerome, Idaho and/or
from the furthest delivery stop on the scheduled route.
- Unloading: Your assistance in unloading racks is greatly appreciated,
drivers can sometimes leave racks for the morning and pick them up in
tthe afternoon.
- Payments to Drivers (COD): We can fax, phone, or email the
invoiced amount before arrival, this will allow the payment to be ready
for the driver.
- Plant Racks: We wish there were a million of these, however,
we try to back haul all of the racks on each route to refill for our
next deliveries. Thank you for helping us get these back to their home.
- Direct to Job Sites: Due to the demand of our delivery schedule
and the size of the delivery trucks, we cannont deliver directly to
the jobsites. Established locations, that accomodate 80,000 lb. trucks
may be accessible if conditions permit.
- Towns/Locations not listed: Our sales staff will assist you
in making this possible.
- Inovices: Please verify your delivered counts with driver before
unloading plant material from the racks.
- Claims and Returns: We do our best to send quality plants however
if you have a concern with our material, please help us by following
these guidelines for claims procedures. Please notify the delivery driver
if product needs returned or a claim is required. Complete and sign
a "Claim Form" to verify returned items are correct with counts, type
of product and container/flat size to issue proper credit. Credit memos
will be issued upon receipt of the claim form. Contact Moss Greenhouses
if there is a concern after the driver has left. All claims must be
made within 24 hours or claim may not be honored.
Pre-Order Program Policies
This is a great way to provide your customers with their own special selection
of garden products. We have been working hard on our special order policy
to ensure the best possible service to you and at the same time make it
feasible for us to provide this service to you. It is very important for
you to read the following policies if you would like to place any special
orders. We have made changes we feel will benefit you. If you have any
questions concering our new policies, please contact your special orders
representative as soon as possible so they can help you.
Timing of Pre-Orders
Turn in your request to the special order sales personnel by November
1 of the upcoming season. Upon receiving the committed orders, production
plans are implemented for space and growing time. All orders require a
delivery date, usually the Monday date of the week is sufficient. Late
special orders will be produced from "finished" plant material and will
be priced accordingly, which is more expensive than utilizing "starter"
plants.
Pre-Order Minimums
- 5 flat minimum per variety.
- 5 flats of gallons minimum per variety.
- 5 hanging baskets per variety (under 16" size).
- 3 hanging baskets per variety (16" and larger).
- Pots and special large containers will be handled on a case by case
basis.
By January 1, 2012, we need your commitment/deposit
for your orders. Items will be billed to customers on the requested ship
date and will be shipped within 10 days to insure quality. We want to
make sure that we supply Subject to production review. Cancellations will
not be accepted afer production begins.
Pre-Order Processing Fees
A 20% non-refundable processing fee above catalog price is required to
implement your orders for All custom planted containters and hanging baskets.
Cancellations will not be accepted after production begins on containers
and hanging baskets. This is not a deposit, this is a processing fee.
This fee covers the cost of sourcing plant material, extra seed, production
and labor. This fee guarantees the product for your customers.
Deposit
A10% Deposit is required for all special order flats and hanging baskets
in our production schedule(stock product). The 10% deposit is refundable
at time of invoicing. Any cancellation of flats or hanging baskets forfeits
the 10% deposit (because the increase of production numbers to accomodate
the special orders) and a 20% restocking fee may apply.
Acknowledgement
All special orders will be acknowledged and sent to you for verification.
Please inspect for accuracy of type, quantity, varieties and delivery
date. Prices will be included and we will notify you if there are any
changes. Quick response time is very important for "hard-to-get" varieties
that are in short supply. "Accounts must be current before delivery of
any special ordered material."
